Our client, a Seattle-based not-for-profit research company, is looking for an IT Help Desk Technician to join a growing and extremely smart team of about 80 employees. They are a wonderful non-profit research organization created to pursue discovery at the leading edge of modern. Their vision is to create a new paradigm to catalyze ground-breaking biological innovation, integrate molecular and computational science and engineering, and empower fundamental technology development to radically accelerate the leap from basic to medical breakthroughs.

This position is currently structured for 30-hrs./week but hours could increase based on performance and project initiatives. Ideal hours would be from 11am-5pm (M-F). Starting pay rate is $23/hr. Job Responsibilities:

* Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through phone, email, or internal ticketing system
* Follow-up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
* Create accounts and configure hardware within a Mac-based environment
* Support audio/video equipment in conference rooms
* Manage/monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory

Required Experience:

* 1-2 years of previous Tier 1 level support within a Mac/Windows environment
* Strong knowledge of Mac OS, Google Collaboration Aps, Windows 7, Office 365
* Microsoft Active Directory experience
* File server knowledge (Linux)
* Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to communicate technical information, both written and verbal, to a wide range of users
