Position Summary:

The Accountant / Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial well-being of our company. This dual-role position involves overseeing both accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing-related financial activities. The successful candidate will manage accounts receivable/payable, reconcile transactions, oversee inventory levels, and work closely with various departments to ensure financial efficiency.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform accrual-based accounting and establish purchase orders for materials and supplies.
  • Collaborate with Fabrication & Operations to evaluate cost drivers and recommend process improvements.
  • Conduct product cost and profitability analyses, along with periodic cost rolls.
  • Close production orders, prepare variance analyses, and reconcile monthly inventory.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in annual financial audits and tax audits, as well as bank reconciliations.
  • Analyze company performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Update financial schedules and send out monthly statements to customers.
  • Assist in implementing a sustainable 401K benefit for our team.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements and negotiate favorable terms.




Job Details:
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire
  • Salary: $83, 000 to $90, 000 (Dependent on Experience)
  • Location: Renton, WA (Onsite, 100%)
  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM to 5: 00 PM
  • Reporting to: CEO




Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems (SOS Inventory preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
  • Must be comfortable working in a Christian faith-based environment.




Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with payroll processing software such as Gusto & Insperity.
  • Ability, experience, or willingness to learn Certified Payroll procedures.
