Are you Bilingual in Mandarin/English or Cantonese/English, and are fluent in both languages? Are you interested in providing great customer service in order to help others in your community? Well we have a client that is looking for some AMAZING bilingual candidates to join their team! Our Client specializes in providing information to inbound callers about the different services and options these union members have.

Through the course of your day, you can expect to speak in both English and Mandarin (or Cantonese) sometimes going back and forth frequently within the same call, to be able to best provide the information and assistance to these callers. You may need to assist with registrations if the callers are having difficulties with online forms or applications as well. Additionally, email correspondence can be expected in both languages.

In this position, you will work in a call center environment to provide services to union members. You will work closely with union officers, management staff, and staff of other departments and partner organizations, to communicate about union programs, issues, and to provide assistance with health care benefits and state-mandated training and workforce development opportunities.

Our client is based in Seattle and represents more than 40, 000 long-term care workers providing quality in-home care, nursing home care and adult day-health services in Washington State and Montana. They have successfully become one of the most powerful advocacy organizations in the region.

Job Duties:
  • Answer and document all calls using client computer systems
  • Reply to email correspondences
  • Help members in person as needed
  • Provide assistance to union-represented long-term care workers
  • Answer questions about union contract, on-the-job rights, union participation and employment benefits
  • Healthcare benefits enrollment support
  • Assistance in training course registration
  • Translation of written and spoken interpretation
  • Staff training assistance
  • Participation in union activities such as voter registration

Job Requirements:
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese and English
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to compose reports and business correspondence

Any related work experience that ties into the above would be helpful. Emphasis will be given to those with experience in service, or positions requiring strong communication skills.
