Job Description

Our client is a US company selling a product currently manufactured in Asia. A change in business strategy is creating a new opening in the company' s technical support team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Development you' ll be the key in-market technical expert for product users, requiring some travel both domestically and internationally.
The product line while in the market since 2001 with growing market demand as new uses for the product develop. This will be a ground floor opportunity to develop a strong platform for technical support in the US.
Your short and long term responsibilities will include responsibility for .
  • Technical repair and maintenance documentation
  • Technical support for the development of procedures used by Customer Service and 3 rd party repair center services - manuals, training materials, etc
  • Technical oversight of warranty, repair and field data to liason with product engineering and quality teams
  • The technical content included in the knowledge data base used for product use, trouble shooting, maintenance, and repair
  • Technical responses for new product questions or issues
  • On Site investigations of product assessments as needed
  • On site training for key accounts

Our client has asked us to find an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong experience in Customer Support. Specifically you' ll need .
BS in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
2+ years in key account technical support
Strong communication skills verbal and written (knowledge of Mandarin helpful)

Starting pay is open (from $70K up) and will depend on your experience. In your resume submittal please include the annual rate you would consider.
