Our Client, a financial services provider with locations around the Greater Puget Sound and nation, is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join their Human Resources department.

The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for assisting with employee relations activities including, but not limited to: employee and management consultation, complaint investigation, conflict resolution, job performance review, and the preparation and delivery of corrective actions, memos, reports and recommendations. Writing skills are a must have, as you will be helping write, proof, and edit policy documents. There is mandatory travel for this position within 48 hours notice across the 5 states that our client services

Location: Tukwila/South Seattle

Pay: $60, 000 - $70, 000

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and draft corrective actions, memos, and reports
  • Support progressive disciplinary actions that are consistent and fair.
  • Respond to Team Member questions and concerns.
  • Work with management to resolve employee issues.
  • Work closely with the Senior Employee Relations Manager in conducting internal investigations and provide timely, thorough and accurate reports.
  • Manage and update logs, records, lists and data tracking sheets.
  • Ensure all written correspondence, documentation and files meet established content standards.
  • Clerical Support including, but not limited to: filing, labeling, typing, mailing and other administrative duties
  • Assist with various human resource projects.
  • Manage all interpersonal interactions in alignment with standards and values.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all Team Member records and information.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree/Certificate in Human Resources or applicable experience
  • Thorough understanding of HR concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Strong written, verbal and consulting skills.
  • Ability to write reports and routine business correspondence; strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a Team.
  • Display a strong customer service focus and exhibit a pleasant and professional demeanor; promote a professional image.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to gather, analyze and effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, Team Members, and Customers
