Job Responsibilities:


Provide an accurate daily schedule of clinical visits for hospice/home care services.

Schedule additional visits as patient needs develop;coordinates schedules taking into consideration caseload availability and staffing levels and geographic areas and expertise to maximize efficiency, safety and quality of care.

Make adjustments as necessary to scheduled patient visits when staff call in sick or are on vacation.

Support and update staff schedules in the EPIC system;communicate with staff on a regular basis regarding changes in schedules, changes or variations in coverage needs, patient volumes, staffing levels to assure efficient, effective and consistent patient coverage.

Communicate scheduling needs and coverage to managers;provide input and observations regarding the day-to-day function of the department to Managers.

Participate in planning and implementing activities to accomplish the department goals and objectives.

Provide coverage of incoming telephone calls, appropriately addressing caller s needs or routing them correctly to meet the patient s needs.

Provide administrative support, including entering data into clinical system applications, ordering Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and coordinating delivery and pick up processing, data tracking processes for quality projects, and maintaining staff schedules and time off/on-call calendars.

Assists nursing staff in contacting pharmacies regarding availability of medications, prescriptions status, and hours of operation.

Runs EPIC reports as scheduled and directed and distributes as required.

Contributes to overall team functioning through effective time management and utilization of problem-solving skills to address team issues.

Appropriately utilizes supervisor for guidance/problem solving, including complaint issues and concerns.

Attend staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and in-service training sessions assigned.

Participates in new staff or volunteer orientation and training as appropriate.

 

Job Details:


  • Work Schedule: Friday - Sunday only;8: 00AM-5: 00PM

  • Pay Rate: $21.00-$23.00/hr. (DOE)

  • Assignment Length: 4-Months (potential temp-to-hire) 

  • Location: Everett, WA

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Candidate Requirements:


At least 1-yr. Of office experience within a health care setting is required

Previous Scheduling experience is required

Previous Home Care experience is preferred

Effective problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task

Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, and database management

Understanding of Medical Terminology is preferred

Ability to learn scheduling software

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Strong Customer Service skills

High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required
