Patient Intake Coordinator

Job Description


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of an Intake Team, working under the direction of one of the RN s in the department, to process the Homecare referrals coming into the dept from a hospital, discharge planner, or physician office

  • Perform data entry by entering demographic and insurance information for patients

  • Upload documents for scanning into the patient files

  • Accept inbound phone calls and make outbound calls as needed to gather more patience and provider information.




Job Details:

  • Assignment Length: 6+ Months

  • Pay Rate: $20-$26 per hour

  • Location: Tukwila, WA

  • Working Hours: 8: 00AM-4: 30PM (M-F)

  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and have access to their immunization records.




Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous phone experience is key as well as good communication skills, professional approach to providing high levels of customer service.

  • Proven ability to have great attention to detail and able to multi-task.

  • Flexibility is key as is the ability to stay cool under pressure.

  • Tech savvy (EPIC a Plus) and accurate alpha and numeric data entry

  • Previous work history that demonstrates great attendance (Attendance is critical for this on-site position)

  • Previous Healthcare experience preferred.
